For years I've been asked, "what's the biggest problem in your line of work?" and I always said, "people seem to be stuck within 4 corners". The screen, those rectangular or square things. "...what if there was no UI?
- Africa, most of Asia, and South America by passed the desktop computer and internet website era, straight to mobile phones.
- Babies started to 'swipe' magazines and flyers.
- My 12yr old nephew in Jamaica is now bypassing the design and coding era, straight into automation and A.I.
- Scientist are now experimenting with genetics instead of silicone because genes have a better data retention, for scale without being larger in mass/size.
- The number one method of communication by far is vocal/verbal (not typing, writing or clicking).
Service design will grow ten folds in step with population growth. Customization and personalization will be the only form of consumption. This is currently now being self-served by YouTube channels as a majority of the population cancels there Netflix and Prime Video subscriptions for on demand preferences.
"Design is ever changing, and it for us/those who recognize to start innovating outside the norms."
I urge you to think deeper and more from within. For me within meant, 'one day people would be able to get treatments through the 'ether' based on their genetics signals, oura, and/or energy signature'. Crazy, but Nicola Tesla was testing this theory.
The real era of Product Design has just began, and products don't have to be tactile, mainstream or within 4 corners.
It should not be an experience, but a natural flow, without friction or barriers.
(I'm not a linguist of a copywriter, so please excuse my verbiage above) :)
